The group is successfully building an ever-increasing portfolio of award-winning brands, which include Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, Radisson, Best Western, IHG, Wyndham and Choice Hotels. They have also developed prominent brands such as Tim Horton's, McDonald's, Fionn McCool’s, Shell and Petro Canada.

The Challenge

Relied on static monthly billing exports with limited detail. No granular visibility into per-account, per-instance, and per-service usage. Reports took weeks to prepare, delaying financial decisions. No forecasting capability for future cost planning.

The Solution

  • Integrated AWS Cost & Usage Report (CUR) stored in Amazon S3.
  • Queried CUR data with Amazon Athena.
  • Connected Athena datasets to Amazon QuickSight (SPICE) for high-performance queries.
  • Built interactive dashboards for finance, cloud operations, and leadership.
  • Enabled ML Insights for anomaly detection and predictive cost forecasting.
